It is sometimes hard for us as parents to wrap our head around senior portraits before our child is even really a senior! I definitely get it as a mom. I am here to tell you that you should consider booking your senior's portrait session as soon as you can!
CONSIDER THE SEASON
I photograph at mainly outdoor locations and with it being August 1st, this limits us to late summer, fall, and early spring. We want to photograph in the most ideal weather conditions and temperature is a big factor. The next few months are excellent because it tends to be a little cooler and there is a smaller chance of rain compared to the heart of mid summer. In the fall, wardrobe options are great for senior portraits, as they can play around with hats, scarfs, vests, and boots! Early spring is excellent with nice weather, blooming tress and flowers. It's a great time to break out those pretty spring colors.
CONSIDER YOUR PRINT TIME FRAME
I have a 2-3 week turn around on hand editing images and once you receive your images you'll need to plan for having them printed and delivered to you.
The bottom line is, don't wait until the last minute to schedule your senior portraits! Class of 2019, it's your time! Be sure to have fun -- you're only a high school senior once!
